The Kata final for 2005/06 was held at Llanberis on 12th March 2006.

The winner was Jessica Powell Jones of the Bontnewydd club. Jessica was thrilled to bits with her win and her proud parents were there to witness the event.

Throughout the year Zanshin holds quarterly kata competition at two location. the first four at each event is then entered in the Grand Final.

The event has been christened 'Medal's Mereil' (Meriel's Medals) since the very start when medals were awarded, more recently winners receive a trophy instead of medals.

Jessica was awarded with a beautiful pewter trophy for her efforts.
